Note: In according to Notification No. S. O. 2119(E) dated 26.06.2020 and further amended Notification No. S. WHEN DO UDYAM REGISTRATION NEED TO BE UPDATED?

Udyam Registration needs to be updated in the following circumstances:

  1. Change in Business Information: If there are any changes in the information provided during the initial registration, such as a change in the name of the enterprise, address, contact details, or other related information, an update to the Udyam Registration is required.

  2. Upgradation of Enterprise: If a micro or small enterprise exceeds the specified limits for investment or turnover, necessitating an upgrade to a higher category (small to medium, for example), an update to the Udyam Registration is necessary to reflect the new classification.

  3. Expiry of Udyam Certificate: Udyam Certificates are valid for a certain period, typically one year from the date of issuance. Therefore, an update is required before the expiration of the certificate to maintain the validity and legality of the registration.

  4. Addition or Removal of Activities: If there is a need to add or remove specific activities or sectors from the scope of operations of the enterprise, an update to the Udyam Registration is necessary to reflect these changes accurately.

  5. Any other Changes or Updates: Any other significant changes or updates related to the enterprise’s legal status, ownership, structure, or operations should be promptly reflected by updating the Udyam Registration.

  6. Udyam Registration Renewal: The certificate for Udyam Registration must be renewed every one years in the Financial Year ends on the 31st of March. In order to renew it and stay in compliance, company must update their Udyam Registration certificate.

To complete the form, you must provide the applicant’s name, mobile phone number, email address, and UDYAM registration number. The only registered phone number and email from the Udyam registration will be approved.

Online payment is required for the application procedure.

REQUIREMENTS FOR UDYAM CERTIFICATE UPDATE/ EDIT

A valid Udyam Number in the format: UDYAM-XX-XX-XXXXXXX.

An active mobile number that was entered while submitting the application.

An email address which was used while making the application.

You will need to provide us with an OTP that will be delivered to the phone number you provided when submitting the application.

Please be aware that you cannot make any changes if you simply have the Udyog Aadhar or MSME Registration and not the Udyam Certificate.

Important Points:

  1. Investment Definition: “Investment in Plant & Machinery or Equipment,” which refers to tangible assets.

  2. Tangible Assets Exclusions: Land, building, furniture, and fittings are not considered part of the investment calculation.

  3. Acceptance of First-hand or Second-hand P&M or Equipment: Both first-hand and second-hand plant and machinery or equipment are allowed without the inclusion of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Note:

  1. All units with GSTIN against the same PAN shall be treated as one Enterprise.
  2. Turnover & Investment figures for all such units shall be clubbed together and only aggregate values will be considered for deciding the category as micro, small or medium enterprise.
  3. Only One Udyam Registration for one enterprise. Any number of activities will be added in one Udyam Registration.
